Founder of the Global Design & Innovation Trends Unit, Marisa Santamaría is a researcher, curator, and communicator specializing in global design connected to 21st-century social and cultural movements. She collaborates as an advisor and cultural communicator with brands such as Poltrona Frau, Bang & Olufsen, Lladró, and Salone del Mobile Milano. She is also a trend forecaster and brand ambassador for Maison&Objet Paris. Currently, she leads the research project Atlas of Design Culture in Spain in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture. She has served as a jury member for awards such as the National Design Awards in Spain, the FAD Awards, and the IF Design Award in Germany. She analyzes the impact of design on Generation Z for the Silestone Institute and teaches at Politecnico di Milano, IE University, and Universidad Nebrija. She writes for media outlets such as El País, AD, and ICON Design, and has curated exhibitions exploring new design narratives. She has published several books on contemporary design.
