Where do the first ideas come from? How do we start projects? What aspects do we study first when we receive a commission? The workshop raises the problem of starting a project, choosing a starting point, choosing the path to follow. A strong, original and universal idea, which is able to 'touch' in some way those who perceive it, is surely the most important aspect of a project. We must start here. Getting the character we attribute to this idea right, determined by the scale, the amount of action, the materials, the language... is equally fundamental. During the workshop we will deal with these aspects in the studio's own projects, and the participants will work briefly on a real case. A simple exercise will be proposed to discuss afterwards the first ideas that each one presents, through drawings, montages or selected images. Attendance with laptop, tablet or smartphone is suggested.
