The interihotel Craft Lab is a space that explores the potential of contemporary craftsmanship to bring aesthetic uniqueness, spatial expression, sensory richness, and both decorative and functional value to hotel and restaurant design.
This year, the Craft Lab delves into the new languages and formats emerging in contemporary ceramics, drawing on heritage, memory and local context. These approaches not only create a dialogue between past and present, but also develop a distinctive formal language capable of connecting with a global audience while remaining rooted in the local and the contemporary.
The result is a series of proposals with a strong sense of identity and an aesthetic that sensitively brings together tradition and modernity.
In this panel discussion, the Craft Lab curator will be joined by three of the participants to explore this trend in contemporary craftsmanship, discussing how ceramics can reconnect with its roots to discover new languages and forms of expression within spatial design.
