Ester Bruzkus founded her international Berlin-based architecture and interiors studio in 2002 and has since built a portfolio of widely-published and award-winning projects including hotels, residences, offices, cultural institutions, and restaurants. She has been named among Architectural Digest’s “Top 100 Creatives in the Design World” multiple times and has won “Most Beautiful Apartment in Germany” twice within three years. Ester has designed hotels for Amano, Azimut, Nobu, Meininger, Ibis, Novotel, and Mercure, and six restaurants and bars for the Michelin Star Chef Tim Raue. Othert restaurant designs include Remi, Beef Club “Fire and Salt”, L.A. Poke, Flip-N-Fry, and locations for Coffee Berlin. Other projects include retail work for the KaDeWe, the Delphi Lux Cinema in Berlin’s Banhof-Zoo District, and innovative workplaces for many companies including C1, Relaxound, BBBank, and the Wellcome Trust. She has been working with Peter Greenberg since 2016 and in 2025 the office was renamed Bruzkus Greenberg.
Bruzkus Greenberg blends conceptual clarity with logical planning, bold color combinations, contrasts of minimalism and opulence, and careful material detailing. Ester Bruzkus founded the Berlin-based practice in 2002 and since 2016 she has been working in partnership with Peter Greenberg. Their international award-winning portfolio focuses on the architecture of the interior and includes work at different scales – furniture design, restaurants, hotels, private residences, workplaces, and exhibit design. A defining characteristic of their work is that it combines expertise from one practice area with another so designs for the hospitality sector benefit from expertise in residential or exhibit design. The combination becomes a cool and comfortable hybrid, creating boxes within boxes, rooms within rooms, the blurring of inside and out, material contrasts, and plenty of surprises.
