Xperience Lab is the space at interihotel where visitors can experiment with disruptive digital technologies applied to interior design.

This edition brings together four demonstrators for designing at full scale, co-creating with artificial intelligence, exploring projects and configuring building modules.

DESIGN AT FULL SCALE

The Virtual Layer

Virtual Reality space design

Define a room’s floor plan and step inside it at full scale. Add furniture, lighting, materials and finishes, and see every change in real time.

A tool for validating design decisions with clients and presenting products in a realistic spatial context.

The experience begins on a touchscreen. The system automatically generates a three-dimensional space with an initial lighting proposal, and a wireless headset lets visitors enter the environment at a 1:1 scale.

Within the space, visitors can add and configure products from interihotel exhibiting brands that are members of AMBIT Living Spaces Cluster. Photorealistic renders and 360° views can also be generated to share the project.

The Co-creative Cube

Design with an AI agent in immersive 3D

Co-design real hospitality spaces with an artificial intelligence agent through voice interaction, and transform your proposals into immersive scenes projected onto the cube’s four walls.

Within seconds, explore each new proposal as a three-dimensional representation generated using Gaussian Splatting and projected all around you, allowing you to visually explore the space and experience the results of your design decisions.

Visitors select a project from hicontract.com, created by architecture and interior design studios that are members of AMBIT Living Spaces Cluster, and request changes using their voice.

An artificial intelligence agent interprets the instructions and generates a new visual proposal for the space, which is transformed into a three-dimensional representation using Gaussian Splatting.

The experience lets visitors explore design alternatives and experience the results at full scale, demonstrating the potential of AI as a co-creation tool.

An installation led by AMBIT Living Spaces Cluster and developed by Framemov, with the participation of El Equipo Creativo, Verum HD and Sezam Studio.

The Unfolding Maquette

Interior projects in Augmented Reality

Explore a digital scale model and unfold one of its spaces at full scale. Move from an overview of the project to exploring its interior in augmented reality.

A shared experience for discovering materials, furniture and lighting, and accessing information about each element.

A three-dimensional scale model appears on a physical surface, integrated into the real environment. Visitors interact with it and select the space they want to explore at a 1:1 scale.

Three to four participants can view the same project simultaneously using wireless augmented reality headsets and access information about products from interihotel exhibiting brands.

An experience led by AMBIT Living Spaces Cluster and developed by Tetravol, in collaboration with DFactory Barcelona.

CONFIGURE FOR MANUFACTURING

The Configurable Module

DFMA building systems

Configure industrialised building modules through a visual interface: dimensions, components, materials, finishes and the layout of elements.

View costs in real time and discover how to integrate products from the earliest stages of design and manufacturing.

The configurator introduces companies in the living spaces sector to new design, specification and manufacturing processes linked to industrialised construction.

For manufacturers of furniture, lighting, surface coverings, equipment and building services, it opens up new possibilities for incorporating their products directly into the digital model.
