MATCOAM, the Building Department of the Official College of Architects of Madrid (COAM), is a space for knowledge, innovation and connection between architecture, industry and society.

Since its origins as a Materials Gallery, MATCOAM has evolved into a leading platform for the building sector, facilitating access to technical knowledge and fostering connections between architects, companies, manufacturers, researchers and institutions.

Its activities combine training, outreach, professional events and the generation of specialised content, addressing the main challenges and opportunities facing contemporary building: sustainability and decarbonisation, circularity, industrialisation, new materials and construction systems, artificial intelligence and digital transformation.

MATCOAM works to bring innovation closer to professional practice and contribute to a more sustainable, competitive and future-ready building sector, while strengthening COAM’s role as an active agent in the transformation of architecture and the built environment.
