Joaquín Marco is an architect and Director of 3g office Spain. He has more than 25 years of experience in corporate architecture, leading projects that integrate strategy, design and construction.
His work begins with understanding each organisation’s goals and the role a building should play in its development. From there, he considers how people will experience the space and carries that understanding through to decisions about design, construction and operation.
This vision is reflected in the firm’s philosophy —Gather people. Generate experiences. Grow business.— and is especially relevant to hospitality, where architecture, the guest experience and operations must work together as an integrated system. Joaquín brings to the sector a perspective that combines experience in complex projects, attention to users and rigour in delivery.
Founded in 2000 by Francisco Vázquez, 3g office is an international strategy, architecture and construction firm with a network of 12 offices and more than 5,000 projects delivered across a range of sectors.
The way we work, learn, shop and stay away from home is changing, and so is the role of the buildings around us. Offices are becoming more welcoming; retail spaces are becoming places to meet; and hotels are supporting new ways of living and working. These shifts create opportunities to rethink spaces around people’s needs and each organisation’s goals.
Gather people. Generate experiences. Grow business. captures the firm’s vision. In corporate environments, 3g office connects architecture with the activities a space supports and the people who use it. Its aim is to create meaningful experiences for users and lasting value for the organisations behind each project.
