Elisa Rodríguez Checa is an architect, interior designer and a distinctive voice in international design. With over 25 years of experience across hospitality, residential and retail, her work always begins from the same conviction: every place has a story to tell, and her role is to uncover it and transform it into space. After a decade leading projects at Rockwell Group — from the W Suzhou to the Address Dubai Opera — she co-founded Checa Woid Interiors alongside Patricia Holler, a studio with offices in Madrid and Munich delivering projects across Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Greece, Portugal and Germany. Sustainability is not a trend for her — it is a responsibility. Holding a LEED AP certification, she applies upcycling and creative reuse strategies particularly in hotel renovations, transforming what already exists into something new and singular. An international speaker, university professor and Ahead Awards jury member, Elisa believes that great design transforms the way we live, work and travel.
