Carlos Muñoz holds a degree in Architecture from the University of Seville, where he graduated in 2019, having also completed a SICUE exchange program at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC-ETSAB) and an ERASMUS program at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto (FAUP). After interning at several architecture firms in Spain (2G Arquitectos) and Portugal (FRARI), he began his professional career as an architect at L HOMES GmbH, part of the German development group Leitner—one of Munich’s leading construction companies. For 3 years, he designed and managed the execution of mid-to-high-end multi-family residential developments covering HOAI work phases 1–5 using BIM methodology. Since returning to Spain over 4 years ago, he currently works as a Senior Architect at L35 Architects' Barcelona office, developing residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects in countries such as France, Italy, Saudi Arabia, and Morocco.
For the past 4 years, Carlos Muñoz has co-led the implementation of generative design and AI tools as AI Manager at L35 Architects' Barcelona office, optimizing workflows across all project phases and delivering presentations on their application to strengthen the firm's position in digital innovation. Concurrently, he teaches courses and delivers lectures at venues such as IA HUB Barcelona and online academies like Founderz. In these roles, he designs and leads practical training programs on integrating Artificial Intelligence into architectural workflows, blending theoretical instruction with hands-on application through masterclasses and intensive workshops. He guides participants through the development of a complete architectural project using generative AI tools—from conceptualization to final visualization and presentation. Additionally, he provides support and consulting services on implementing Artificial Intelligence tools for individual architects and companies.
