Dr. Cristina Mateo is Vice Dean at IE University's School of Architecture and Design, where she leads the school's strategy, business development and stakeholder engagement. With extensive experience in urban ethnography, tourism, branding and digital transformation, she specializes in the intersection between technology and cities, focusing on how they impact urban life. Cristina has worked in both the public and private sectors, including key roles at Madrid City Council and VisitBritain. She holds a PhD in Sociology from Goldsmiths College and an Executive MBA from IE Business School.
