Ainoa holds a PhD in Statistics and Operations Research from the UPC and a degree in Industrial Design Engineering from Elisava.She is currently responsible for the Simultaneous and Consecutive Studies Programme, lecturer at Elisava and researcher in the Decoding Wellbeing line at Elisava Research. Her work and publications focus on the parameterisation of emotions, user experience, wellbeing and material perception, through kansei engineering and the application of statistics and data visualisation.

Elisava is a Faculty of Design and Engineering of the Universitat de Vic - Universitat Central de Catalunya, located in Barcelona. It offers Bachelor's, Master's, Postgraduate and specialised courses in design, engineering and communication.It has the research department Elisava Research, recognised as an Emerging Research Group by the Generalitat de Catalunya. One of its groups, Decoding Well-being, investigates the impact of the built environment on human well-being, studying the emotional, cognitive and physical responses linked to spaces, products and services. They use qualitative and quantitative methods, combining technologies from disciplines such as neuroscience, psychology and ergonomics. Their aim is to develop design projects focused on wellbeing and based on scientific evidence.
