Marcel Benedito is a journalist by the UAB specialized in culture and design. He works at ON DISEÑO magazine. In 1997 he relaunched the masthead of CASA VIVA magazine and in 2002 he conceived and launched PROYECTO CONTRACT magazine, specialized in interior design of public spaces. He also collaborates in his specialty with the newspapers La Vanguardia and El Mundo, the magazines Interni and Axxis and in books on design. In 2010 she published “Cada casa es un mundo. Ten topics on decoration that urgently need to be dismantled”, in Why Worry publishers. Marcel participates in round tables, presentations, conferences and television programs. In 2008 he participated as a jury member in the National Design Awards granted by the Ministry of Industry. He teaches Communication for design companies at Elisava and IED. In 2017 he becomes co-editor and editorial director of the magazine DISTRITO OFICINA, followed by DISTRITO HOTEL in 2022.
Distrito Ediciones is a boutique publishing house located in the town of Sant Cugat del Vallés, near Barcelona. It publishes the magazines DISTRITO OFICINA and DISTRITO HOTEL, both focused on specialized interior design. The two magazines are presented in print, quarterly Distrito Oficina and biannually Distrito Hotel. Both have an online version, a website with specific content and social networks that expand the echo of the information that appears in the magazines. Both magazines work with a team of expert professional collaborators who help shape the content of the publications. The rigor, freshness, quality and independence of the two magazines have made them the media of reference in both sectors, office and hospitality. The presence of the publications in international trade fairs such as interihotel, EquipHotel, Hábitat and Orgatec, with versions in two languages, ensures the international projection of these media.
