Jacinto Arenas has developed his career at Ares Arquitectos, a firm specialising in architectural and interior design for shopping centres, mixed-use, hotels and retail. Under his leadership, Ares Arquitectos has positioned itself as a leading firm in Mexico, with projects in 14 countries. The firm has won the ICSC Latin America Shopping Center Awards six times and the CIDI Interior Design Award three times, in addition to the ‘INSPIRA’ Trayectorias 2013 recognition from Mexico Design. Arenas has lectured in countries such as Colombia, the United States, Italy and Mexico, thanks to his experience in commercial projects. He is an architect graduated from ITESO, with an Executive MBA from IPADE and a Diploma in Evaluation and Formulation of Investment Projects from the Universidad Panamericana. He is also a professor at the Tecnológico de Monterrey and a member of the Management Committee of ULI Mexico.
Ares Arquitectos specialises in architectural design and interior design of hotels in all categories, as well as commercial projects of various types, including shopping centres, department stores, retail, vertical housing and sports facilities, among others. The company has six partners and a team of 60 employees, including architects and designers, with offices in Guadalajara, Mexico City and presence in Latin America. It has developed more than 20 hotels, ranging from select service to luxury and all-inclusive resorts in Mexico, the Caribbean and Latin America. In addition, he has worked on projects from conceptualisation for brands such as Nobu, Marriott, Hilton, Wyndham and Unico by RCD, among others, with presence in countries such as Mexico, Dominican Republic and Jamaica.
