Anatxu Zabalbeascoa studied Journalism at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and Art History at The Art Institute of Chicago. She is the author of over twenty books, including The New Spanish Architecture (Rizzoli New York), Igualada Cemetery (Phaidon), La casa del Arquitecto, Las Casas del siglo, Minimalismos, Un signo de los tiempos, Vidas Construidas, Todo sobre la casa, and Chairs (Gustavo Gili). She has also written a dozen children’s books such as Valentina in Paris, New York, Barcelona, and Madrid (Tusquets), Ser o tener (Edebé), El doctor Quitamiedos (Beascoa), Jaime y las gafas mágicas (Blume), and the novel En otros ojos (Alba). She is the creator of the design podcast La Gran D (Podium) and has spent 30 years writing about architecture, design, landscape, and cities for El País. For 15 years, she has conducted in-depth interviews for El País Semanal, compiled in the books Gente que cuenta and Más gente que cuenta (Círculo de Tiza).
