Virginia Hernández Fernández is an architect who graduated from the ETSAM (Madrid School of Architecture) as part of the final cohort under the former curriculum. She joined Estudio Lamela in August 2001 and has been a qualified architect since 2004. Over the past 25 years, she has worked on residential and office projects, coordinating teams and representing the design team throughout the construction process.

She currently focuses on bringing people together, sharing knowledge and improving processes through a horizontal, cross-functional approach, turning accumulated experience and lessons learned into opportunities for continuous improvement.

A nature enthusiast, sailing instructor and myrmecologist, she finds inspiration in observing her surroundings, seeking to understand cooperation, balance and the interdependence of living organisms.

This sensitivity drives her commitment to a conscious, collaborative and sustainable approach to architecture, while keeping alive the legacy of Antonio Lamela and his integrative vision of geoism and cosmism
