Sophie Schuller is an interdisciplinary researcher working at the intersection of neuroscience, architecture, and real estate. Her research examines how the built environment shapes neurobiology, cognition, stress regulation, and wellbeing, with a particular focus on workplaces, including offices, university campuses, and hospitals. She translates neuroscientific evidence into economic and real estate value to inform healthier building design, investment decisions, and the future valuation of property. Sophie specialises in multimodal neurophysiological data acquisition, signal processing, and analysis, integrating physiological measures with phenomenological and experiential evidence to advance evidence based design and real estate decision making. Drawing on more than twenty years of experience in commercial real estate, finance, valuation, and social value, her work seeks to connect human outcomes with building performance and capital allocation. Sophie is a member of the Neurocivitas Lab, at Cambridge University, an Advisory Board Member of ANFA and is also Associate Editor of the journal Intelligent Buildings International.

Within its Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment, the Department of Management in the Built Environment and the Chair of Public Real Estate examine the strategic, societal, and economic performance of buildings and estates. Sophie Schuller divides her time between both universities, connecting neuroscience, human experience, real estate decision making, and building valuation across these complementary research environments.
