Founding architect and general manager of Ruiz Larrea Arquitectura s.l.p. Master in Business Management from EAE, Master in Project Management in Urban Planning and Building from the Ecola Sert of the COAC. Founder and first president of the Catalan Association of Project Management. Passionate about architecture and construction, and a great defender of architecture as a solution to complex problems.
He has developed more than 1200 projects in his professional career, always within the national territory. I lead a wonderful team of almost 50 people in Ruiz Larrea Arquitectura s.l.p., which also allows me to co-direct ACTIA DESARROLLO S.A., an industrialized construction company specialized in wood.
Ruiz Larrea Arquitectura is a leading practice specialising in bioclimatic, sustainable and industrialised architecture. Its projects are based on designs that radically reduce energy demand and prioritise user comfort in order to achieve the greatest possible social and economic returns. This has established the practice as a benchmark in new-build residential developments, offices, and the refurbishment and conversion of buildings. Ruiz Larrea designs its projects to the most demanding standards of efficiency and sustainability (Passivhaus, BREEAM, WELL, LEED, VERDE) and adopts BIM methodology in construction. Through R_lab, its innovation laboratory, it maintains an ongoing research process in collaboration with industry, suppliers and companies to develop and implement the best technological solutions to meet its clients’ needs.
