Cristina Serrano is an industrial designer trained in Valencia and Milan, twice recognized as an emerging talent at Feria Hábitat Valencia's NUDE. In 2006, she received a Ceramic Trends in Architecture Research Grant. For five years, she designed ceramic products and collaborated with the Habitat Trends Observatory. Driven by her entrepreneurial spirit and an international project on Design Thinking and innovation, she co-founded her own innovation consultancy. She served clients like Consum, Guzman Global, Grupo Eulen, and Naturtex, while also teaching entrepreneurship and innovation at Mondragon University for five years. This role took her across innovation hubs in Silicon Valley, Finland, Germany, and Spain. At Cerámica a Mano Alzada, she brings it all together: ceramic product and habitat sector expertise, design strategy, and user experience.

Their expertise lies in bespoke ceramic lattices and tailor-made pieces. They view ceramics as an honest, artisanal, and highly technical material, approached through the lens of contemporary architecture. Their mission is clear: to bring context and authenticity to projects, ensuring the ceramic craft dialogues with modern design. It all began in 2013, when Miguel Bartolomé launched an educational blog on ceramics in architecture. Today, they deliver bespoke projects worldwide. As industrial designers, they go beyond delivering incredible ceramics; they help architects and designers seamlessly integrate these materials into their spaces exactly as envisioned.
