Terrapin Bright Green is a research, consulting and strategic planning firm that is committed to improving the human environment. Terrapin helps clients think creatively about environmental opportunities to achieve their highest goals. Since 2006, Terrapin has worked to shape the outcome of complex policies, buildings and large-scale planning projects. Based in New York City, and Washington DC, and works with hospitality projects around the world. We helped launch the Element Brand, crafted experiential standards for I Hotels, and worked with Marriott, Orient Express, Revolution Resorts, Grand Hyatt, the Grand Waliea, the Inn of the Anasazi and others. Through strategies for whole-systems thinking and integrative design, we work to create restorative, regenerative buildings. We believe that high-performance design means fundamentally improving human factors like health and user experience, particularly through biophilic design, while improving overall economic and environmental performance.
