Sara joined Accor in 2022, where she leads design strategy, creates standards, concept guidelines and oversees design initiatives and special projects for mid-range and economy brands. An architect with a passion for creativity and travel, she studied in Spain and Italy. After graduating in 2001, she founded her own architecture and design agency, Romero & Vallejo, with which she has received numerous awards and worked internationally with companies such as GandiaBlasco, GAN, Diabla, HEM or Everlane. She also collaborates with universities such as BAU University in Berlin, the European Institute of Design (IED) and the IADE School of Design in Madrid. At Accor, Sara is responsible for the Accor Design Awards 2025, a global competition for architecture and interior design students, which aims to re-imagine the hospitality of tomorrow.
