Ana Milena Hernández Palacios was born in Bogotá in 1982. From a very young age she developed a creative talent by participating in her mother's decorative events. At the age of 18 she decided to embark on an adventure in Europe by moving to Spain, and worked as a window dresser until she began studying interior architecture at the renowned Barreira School of Design. After finishing her studies he worked for a while for Javier Quirones Arquitectos, an architectural firm in Valencia, where he quickly realized that he wanted to develop his own style. Thus, in 2010 he founded Masquespacio, with the aim of designing creative spaces according to the needs of his clients and incorporating the different areas of design to create added value.
Christophe Penasse was born in Belgium in 1983. At the age of 15, while studying commerce, he started working at the multinational Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, located in Brussels. After finishing his studies in commerce, he went to university to study marketing, and then worked temporarily at the American company Federal Express, which he left to fulfill his dream: to move to Spain, a country he had been passionate about for years. In Spain he worked for the German wholesaler Makro until, in 2010, he decided to found the design studio Masquespacio with his partner Ana Milena Hernández Palacios. In the studio he applies his knowledge of marketing and commercial management, as well as getting involved in creative projects with his own vision.
Masquespacio is a renowned design studio founded in 2010 by Ana Milena Hernández Palacios and Christophe Penasse. Combining interior design and marketing, the studio designs tailor-made projects with a unique approach based on fresh and innovative concepts. They have been awarded numerous prizes such as 'Young Talent of the Year' (2020) by Elle magazine, 'Interior Designers of the Year' (2019) by the Spanish edition T Magazine (New York Times), or 'Massimo Dutti New Values', by Architectural Digest Spain. The studio is currently developing projects in Spain, Saudi Arabia, Colombia, Germany, Qatar, Singapore and Cambodia, among others.
