David González graduated as an architect in 1997 from the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Valladolid. After working in Joaquín Hernández's studio since 1996, he founded DAAR Arquitectura in 2001. His approach is global, prioritizing close collaboration with the client and a multidisciplinary team to achieve creativity and efficiency in each project. Initially focused on small and medium scale residential projects, DAAR expanded its activity after the 2008 crisis, opening a studio in Madrid and developing hotel and singular projects. Among its most notable works are the refurbishment of the Santander bank headquarters in Bilbao, transformed into a five-star hotel, and the refurbishment of three buildings in Seville for another luxury boutique hotel. The firm seeks a balance between architecture, facilities and interior design, achieving harmonious results that respect the human scale.
