María José Fernández Jaramillo is a Product Design Engineer with training in Strategic Design at TU Delft (Netherlands). She has built her career around real estate development, interior design, and architecture projects, with a focus on creative leadership, project management, strategic design, and experience design. As manager of Cinco Sólidos, she has established the firm as a multidisciplinary studio with an international reach, carrying out projects in Colombia, the United States, Costa Rica, Spain, Hawaii, France, among others. Her experience includes luxury clients in the hospitality, high-end residential, and commercial sectors. Passionate about sports and reading, she finds in them the inspiration and discipline that also guide her creative vision and leadership style.

Founded in 2015, 5 Sólidos was born as a place of experimentation through architecture and spatial design, seeking to stimulate the senses of those who interact within it. Design is the tool that affects and guides the interaction between body and space. They make sure that, at any scale, well-being, stimulation, comfort, and pleasure are a constant thread; combining the importance of aesthetic and functional value to create spaces that bring interior and exterior design together, making them interconnected. Their style is defined by simple, minimalist, yet expressive architecture. Their designs are a way of contemplating and interacting with the world, while also being unique and striking on their own. Their approach is transversal, addressing architecture from its broadest concept to its most detailed specification, turning design into a holistic creative process. Today, the team includes around 22 collaborators, including interior designers, arch viz artists, architects, furniture designers, and the administrative team.
