Founder and CEO of Grupo Habitat Futura since 2005, she drives strategic projects that promote sustainable development in the social, economic, and environmental spheres. She holds a Law degree from the University of Barcelona-Abat Oliba and multiple master’s degrees in strategic communication, architecture, and sustainable construction. She began her career as a lawyer in the Tax Administration. Since 2003, she has been dedicated to sustainable building and the energy transition through initiatives such as Habitat Futura magazine, professional conferences, and the Rethink Hotel competition. In 2016, her group received the Energy Excellence Award for its awareness-raising efforts. She is also the founder of the cooperative “illa eficient,” which promotes the energy retrofitting of residential buildings through photovoltaic energy communities in Barcelona’s Eixample district. In 2021, she founded the Innovative Business Group “Re Think Tourism,” which brings together 500 hotels and research centers to promote energy rehabilitation in the tourism sector.
The AEI Re Think Tourism, registered with the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism as an Innovative Business Group (AEI), is made up of nearly 500 tourist accommodations and 8 knowledge and research centers. It develops tools that enhance competitiveness and optimize business strategy through sustainability, while also creating new business opportunities and synergies for its members. The AEI identifies, manages, and secures funding for sustainability and renovation projects with the aim of increasing the competitiveness of the hotel sector.
