The programmed activities put the spotlight on respected professionals with outstanding careers by means of a complete programme of talks and discussion panels across 12 sessions, with a total of 40 speakers participating.
The first activities will begin on Wednesday, October 24th, the inaugural day of the event, starting at 10:00 a.m. with a discussion panel with trendsetters and hotel groups from the Central America and Mexico market. Within the framework of the collaboration between the Association of Interior Designers of Catalonia and InteriHotel, there will be a discussion panel with professionals from this body. Another discussion panel will be held in the afternoon, this time with players from the Moroccan market.
On Thursday October 25th, a new discussion panel will be held with hotel trendsetters and decision-makers from the United Arab Emirates market. Next, Natali Canas, a partner and creative director in The Creativo team will present a case study on gastronomic areas in hotels.
In the afternoon, Pepa Casado, founder and director of trends research at Future-A will give speak about trends and new business models in the hotel industry. Lori Pinkerton-Rolet, director of Park Grove Design, will then give a talk on trends in interior design and how to create interim interiors. To round off the day, Manuel Torres, founder and director of Manuel Torres Design will present a paper on how the hotel sector will be transformed in a few years to adapt to the new demands of travelers.
On Friday October 26th, the last day of the event, InteriHotel will host the renowned architect and interior designer Tomás Alía, who will present one of his outstanding projects: Hotel Aitana Room Mate in Amsterdam. Next, Eulogio Bordas, chairperson of THR Innovative Tourism Advisors, will give a talk on the value provided by hotel interior designers. In the afternoon, Jordi Canora, creative director at Inusual Disseny, will introduce a case study of a hospitality project. To bring both the day and the event to a conclusion, Gilly Craft, director of Koubou Interiors and chairperson of the British Interior Design College will address attendees on hotel rooms of the future and their innovations.
The design expert Marisa Santamaría will present the speakers, moderate the talks and energize the debates, as a journalist specializing in design and architecture, and director of the area of international trends of the IED.
