One of the standout proposals at interihotel MAD24 was the Concept Room “Genius Loci Concept Restaurant”, a space designed by El Equipo Creativo in collaboration with CoolRooms, and part of the Interiors Living Lab by AMBIT, the event’s organizer. During the event, we visited the Concept Room to speak with Lucas Echeveste, Creative Director at El Equipo Creativo, and Silvia Gancedo-Rodríguez, Head of Product Design at CoolRooms.

Echeveste explained the design concept behind the space: to create two distinct dining environments that can coexist harmoniously. To achieve this, the studio designed a large central table as the focal point of the space, integrating preparation areas with zones for tasting or meetings. The aim was to bring chefs and bartenders closer to guests and foster new gastronomic experiences. The table, a versatile centerpiece, organizes two different settings inspired by the palatial lounges of CoolRooms hotels—each associated with a specific time of day and a unique way of enjoying the dining experience. Through its materials, tones, and patterns, the design evokes both an outdoor atmosphere in cream and green hues, and a more intimate indoor setting in terracotta and wine tones.

Silvia Gancedo-Rodríguez shared her thoughts on the different traveler profiles that inspired the Concept Room. Among them are those with artistic interests, who value design, pay attention to small details, and seek to immerse themselves in the traditions, experiences, and unique character of each destination.

Lucas Echeveste also highlighted the variety of products supplied by interihotel partner brands, including the following AMBIT associates: Bolon, Calma, Casual Home&Contract, Coordonné, ECOcero, Estiluz, Fama Solutions, Gancedo, Innovus Decorative Products, Kave Home, Made Design, Pepe&Alonso, Secrisa, and Zennio.
