CODIC is a public entity that oversees the profession and makes the interests of its members and the society which it serves compatible within the region of Cataluña. They protect the respect of the profession on behalf of public and private organisms and entities and controls the professional code of its members. 

The main goal of the college is to ensure its members’ compliance with current professional legislation. Also, as a collective they should remain open to the evolution and improvement of the profession, without forgetting that the College exists as a professional collective, and has maximum authority in the General Assembly. It offers legal services, resource centres and databases, financial and insurance services, professional development, awards for bachelor's theses, a job centre and work placement agreements, among others.
