Award winners
- interihotel BCN25 Award for Best Stand Design at interihotel: A stand that captures attention and sparks visitor curiosity, thanks to a simple yet effective exercise in chromatic and lighting contrast. The jury was impressed because the space cannot be understood at a single glance; instead, it invites visitors to step inside to discover what is hidden within. Once inside, the display arranged in niches on both sides of the central aisle allows the product line to be explored in an almost museum-like manner, creating an elegant and immersive experience. For all these reasons, the jury has granted the award to the stand by TM Leader Contract (stand K24), designed by María Ortega. The prize was presented by jury members Agnès Blanch (ARQUIN-FAD), Pedro Coelho (LCI Barcelona), and Pere Ramon (Gremi d’Hotels de Barcelona). The jury also highlighted the proposals by Buit Valencia (stand E10, designed by Bardo Studio) and Fama Solutions (stand D19+D20, designed by Einteriorismo and Arqdeco Creative Projects).
- interihotel BCN25 Award for the Sustainable Product for Hotel and Restaurant Design: A solution that exemplifies the sector’s commitment to responsible innovation and the circular economy. It replaces traditional materials such as wood or plastics, preventing deforestation and the use of toxic compounds. Its manufacturing process is 100% circular, using renewable energy and with zero water footprint. A proposal that combines design, sustainability, and innovation, moving towards a more regenerative and planet-friendly construction model. For all these reasons, the jury has granted the award to the product RiceTab, by the company Birdmind. The prize was presented by jury members Cristina Mora (COAC), Marc Huertos Paniagua (CODIC), and María Deus (Domus Selecta). The jury also highlighted the proposals by Tarkett (Lino Materiale) and Unnom (Artdeco).
- interihotel BCN25 Award for the Innovative Product for Hotel and Restaurant Design: An innovative acoustic solution, ideal for spaces that require harmonizing the coexistence among guests. It adapts easily to different environments and styles, maintaining a refined aesthetic thanks to personalized digital printing. This proposal allows for integrating design and functionality without compromising acoustic comfort, particularly benefitting hotels and restaurants by prioritizing sonic wellbeing within visually appealing environments. For all these reasons, the jury grants the award to the product Acoustic Wall, by Bariperfil. The prize was presented by jury members Daniel García (Gremi de Restauració de Barcelona), Helena Puig (ELISAVA), and Jordi Moya (APDI). The jury also highlighted the proposals by Birdmind (RiceTab) and Clever (TopFix).
- interihotel BCN25 Award for Best Restaurant Design: The designer has wisely used color and volumes in an interior that flows to the rhythm of the curves and undulations present in the furniture and the structure. The materials are natural—wood, timber with a marked grain, or linen—which helps generate comfort and naturalness. The design is perfectly aligned with the restaurant’s gastronomic concept, enabling it to offer a holistic 360º experience, from lighting to decoration, including materials, color, and artworks. For all these reasons, the jury has granted the award to Superchulo Canalejas, designed by Pablo Roig. The prize was presented by Mr. Marc Barreno, president of Ambit Cluster. The jury also highlighted the proposals by El Equipo Creativo (Selva Restaurant) and Sandra Tarruella Interioristas (La Gaia).
- interihotel BCN25 Award for Best Hotel Design: The awarded hotel represents tradition brought up to date. It reflects 19th-century traditional architecture, located in the heart of the medina of Marrakech, and is a luxurious yet domestic hotel. Its designer has carried out a respectful renovation, using local materials and preserving original elements such as the porticos. To this respect for what already existed, modernity and comfort have been added, allowing guests to enjoy a genuine experience. A refuge in the midst of the city’s bustle. For all these reasons, the jury has granted the award to Hotel Riad Brummell Medina, by Architecture Office Clàudia Raurell. The prize was presented by Ms. Cristina Lagé, Director General of Tourism of the Generalitat de Catalunya. The jury also highlighted the proposals by El Equipo Creativo (Kimpton Los Monteros) and ILV* (Tivoli Kopke Porto Gaia Hotel).
- interihotel BCN25 Award for Professional Career in Hotel and Restaurant Design: She embodies warmth and elegance, but also perseverance and naturalness. All her projects breathe comfort and are unique. A designer and interior designer inspired by local references, by the Mediterranean, by the warmth and color that allow her to contemporize everything she touches. Since her beginnings in her mother’s restaurant, the seed of the Tragaluz group, this interior designer has worked for the Roca brothers and Carles Alenyà, and her studio has received multiple awards. For all these reasons, the jury has granted the award to Ms. Sandra Tarruella, of Sandra Tarruella Interioristas. The prize was presented by Mr. Sergi Latorre, Project Manager Spain & Portugal at Grupo Roca.
