We will explore how we can better prepare for the future, specifically in relation to hospitality, by combining the accuracy of science with the imagination of design to navigate the unknown and create a better future. From understanding emerging technologies and their impact on society, to using Futures Synthesis to imagine new solutions to complex problems. We will also address the importance of diversity and inclusion in futures foresight, and the need for interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure that future scenarios are grounded in reality and reflect the values and needs of all members of society. We will look at how autonomous vehicles will change the way we travel, how we might move from e-commerce to "a-commerce", and explore how we might interact with artificial intelligence through avatars, digital twins and other synthetic personas. It is time to build our futures, together.
