3D printing represents an absolute paradigm shift within the architecture, design and art sector. The introduction of cutting-edge technology in manufacturing processes is creating new production models that break with convention and redirect the sector towards a more systematised, more versatile and more sustainable industry. Manuel Jiménez García, co-founder and CEO of Nagami, a company specialising in 3D printing with recycled plastics, recognised by Forbes magazine in the list of “the 100 most creative Spaniards in the business world” and with collaborations with studios such as Zaha Hadid Architects and Ross Lovegrove, talks to us about the possibilities of 3D printing and how having converted disposable plastics into raw material for his medium and large-scale projects has meant entering uncharted territory in architecture and sustainability.
