Designer and researcher of new materials, he has built his career in the Basque Country, where he has designed clothing for television series using sustainable and cutting-edge principles. Trained at the Basque Biodesign Center in the Fabricademy Postgraduate program, he has focused on investigating the intersection between textiles, digital fabrication, elements of nature, and living organisms to make his designs regenerative and sustainable. In his participation in the Milan Design Week 2022, he was selected and later became a finalist in the new materials category with his project "Heterotopia." Currently, he is conducting a research project at the BDC on the utilization of Latxa Wool waste, creating a new material called WOODWOOL, which is oriented towards interior design and the construction sector.
The Basque Biodesign Center is a convergence space with the mission to drive the digital transformation of future materials through experimentation, innovation, and collaboration, creating technology-based solutions. Its vision is to be an inspiring place for creation, unique in Spain, aiming to connect local talent with talent from around the world and bridge the gap between design and science. Design should be at the heart of circular economy strategies and should not settle for being just a part; it is a key element in building a regenerative economy. We are not only in a context of climate emergency but also a production emergency.
