Rotor is a Brussels based research group, design studio and consultancy with the aim to make the reclamation and reuse of building materials an accessible option across Europe. To reach this objective, Rotor has developed since 2006 critical positions, adopting multiple approaches: research, projects in architecture and interior design, assisting architects and building commissioners to reach reuse ambitions, exhibitions, books, economic models, policy proposals and education. In 2015, the work of Rotor received the Global Award for Sustainable Architecture under the patronage of UNESCO. In 2016, Rotor launched the spin-off Rotor DC, an innovative business activity reclaiming, processing and selling reuse products.
